Ok, so I'm using the DSI method for the touch surface. It is the same essentially as FTIR however, with DSI and the special acrylic used, there is no need for a compliant surface. See this website for more information on the differences between multitouch techniques.

On a more relevant note, was the LCD in your Multitouch table just the projection surface that you used? I've read through the site some but I'm still confused as to the purpose of the LCD.
So, after revisiting the website, I found the diagram and things make more sense. However, I am confused as to how you get the touch screen to work? The only way that I know of to make a Multitouch surface is FTIR type, with a camera underneath, but wouldn't the lcd block the way between the acrylic and the camera? How does the actual Multitouch aspect of the table work?
